Value Delivered

Dynalectric Company (Florida) installed multiple electrical systems for this multi-phase, multi-year terminal project. To merge concourses A, B, C, and D into a single, 1.3-mile linear concourse, we selectively demolished, relocated, and re-fed existing systems critical to terminal operations while maintaining uninterrupted passenger service. The merge doubles the North Terminal’s number of daily flights.

Client Objectives

With the vision of growing into a global airport of choice with direct passenger and cargo access to all world regions, the Miami International Airport sought to develop and expand the North Terminal to enhance operations and increase capacity.

Scope of Services

We provided electrical construction services for the North Terminal’s development. Our team renovated essential systems, coordinating work to maintain uninterrupted passenger service during construction.

Our scope included:

  • Providing complete systems for distribution, low voltage, communications, data security, fire alarm, lighting, power, and controls
  • Installing underground infrastructure for the rooftop automated people-mover
  • Installing complete systems for a new 400,000-square-foot Federal Inspection Station with the capacity to process 3,600 passengers per hour
  • Providing 400-hertz systems for new passenger loading bridges

Client Background

Miami International Airport is a hub for international and domestic travel, as well as the top US airport for international freight.
